5Great Book  Nov 02, 2010 By Earth bound misfit
Great Book, I learned a great deal about soils. Knowledge of science is helpful as there is a little chemistry and math but not too much. This book has the level of detail needed to really understand the subject and apply it. Probably at the upperclassman or Graduate level. I recommend this book for anyone in the landscaping to AG business as well as anyone with a garden or lawn that wants to go deep.

1Sensory overload!  Oct 30, 2010 By Mrs Primm "M.P."
The professor in my college, a two year college for AAS, has the students buy this book because when he was a student he used it.
It is very, very, very technical, not for a new student without any background in chemistry.
It would have been a good idea to list the sub-headings at the beginning of each chapter.
This would be a good book for the third year college in AG.

3The Nature and Properties of Soils  Feb 22, 2011 By Heather
For the most part this book was in good condition, however there are several sections that have been highlighted by the past user.
